Recently I started reading a daily devotional that comes in the email box. It's from Rick Warren, pastor of
the Saddleback Church in California. If you've never heard of it, it is a mega church (thousands of members) started
by Warren a few years ago. I don't always agree with what he writes, but it is always something worth thinking about. In one recent devotional, Warren was saying that for the church to be relevant to today's generation, we must (the church) concentrate on serving and ministering to this generation....that we can't minister to the generations of the past....or the future...we can only minister in the NOW. I believe that is a huge statement! A statement that we must heed. We as a church must seek to serve and do the will of God in our generation. What has gone before, has gone before. This is today. I hope you will consider joining us as we seek to serve the people of Perry, Oklahoma, in this generation. I pray that we can do the will of God in our generation. Ed
